Glasgow architect DAS designed this beautiful, spacious house extension for artist Pam Carter in Glasgow.
The 'Granny Flat' extension is designed as a separate building joined to the existing cottage by the entrance link. The form of the new extension while being contemporary in style sits comfortably in context with the existing surroundings. The extension footprint takes cognisance of its position on the site and minimises the impact to the garden while maximising on the aspect, making full use of the potential internal / external interplay. The scale of the new cottage was also minimised by reducing the eaves height in order to prevent overshadowing of the neighbouring properties and gain maximum sunlight into the entrance courtyard.
Glasgow architect DAS designed this exceptional house extension in Glasgow to maximise light and space. Are you looking to do the same? Please get in touch to if you'd like to propose an exciting new project and we'd be delighted to discuss.
